(MISSING DOCUMENTS WILL BE UPLOADED SHORTLY.)

We have provided below some items that we used or developed for our work which we thought might be of interest to students and practitioners of international development. They include samples of Partnership Agreements and Contracts, and also internal policy papers and guidance notes. Please note that a number of these documents are old (but still contain valuable material); and some build on the work of others.

The papers have been provided as a guide -- we have removed project numbers, partners names and personal details. If you plan to make use of any of this material you should take care to personalise them to your own situation.

Material On ProjectsMaterial on Lobbying
Over the years we developed some basic rules that we tried to follow in our work. These included (in no particular order):
  • the CEO cannot sign cheques for more than £1,000 without consulting a Trustee
  • we should maintain at least 3 months of unrestricted funding in our bank accounts;
  • all bills should be paid promptly
  • all staff travelling abroad should complete a one page Travel Form giving details of visa and passport numbers, with local contacts and next of kin
  • we should prepare at least one strategy paper each year to supplement/update our main Strategic Plan
  • we should produce our Annual Report by Christmas (5 months before the FY end).

Most of the papers below were featured on the original Powerful Information website. They have been reformatted for inclusion here. Some of the material was written some time ago but is still relevant. If you would like to comment on any of the items, or suggest improvements, please do then others can benefit. Thank you!
